• How can I activate my Sight GPRS on the Sight System plataform?

1. Each device comes with an activation key and instructions for the simple process of entering it into the Sight System platform.

• Can I upgrade firmware? 

1. Yes. The Sight System platform allows the remote upgrade of any device that is connected and activated, including the Sight GPRS.

• Can I program my GPRS via SMS or DTMF?

1. No. Sight GPRS is configured on the Internet. SMS and DTMF are not supported by SIGHT GPRS. 

• Must all my SIGHT GPRS’s have SIM cards from the same mobile operating company in order to communicate?

1. No. Sight System technology allows Sight GPRS’s to have SIM cards from different companies, without impeding communication among them.

• Can I operate my Sight GPRS for Alarm Communication and Access Control simultaneously? 

1. Yes. Just activate the Access Control on the platform and your Sight will be operating as such, independent of the Alarm Communication operation.

• What is the voltage of the equipment operation?

1. Sight GPRS is designed to operate with 12V nominal, although it can be fed with up to 15V.

• Can I completely replace the land line for Sight GPRS alarm communication?

1. Yes. Sight GPRS is designed to operate as the main means of communication for home alarms.

• Can I use the land line as a backup in case the mobile network is not available?

1. Yes. Sight GPRS supports the PSTN line connection as a backup.

• Is the Contact ID protocol supported by the Sight GPRS?

1. Yes. Sight GPRS can be connected to any alarm that is compatible with Contact ID protocol.

• The Contact ID tones are not reaching the receiver.  What can I do?

1. Normally, the loss of tones in the Contact ID protocol is due to low volume of the telephone line that goes into the alarm. To adjust the volume, go into the platform and adjust the earpiece and microphone volumes of the telephone that goes into the alarm.

• Can I download with Sight GPRS?

1. Yes. Downloading can be done with the land line (PSTN) is connected to the equipment in normal mode or in “Safe Wired Backup” mode. In either case, Sight GPRS can be instructed to go into “Downloading” mode on the web and commutes the communication to the alarm.
